ThermoplastICS

Kunststoff Bauer processes all types of technical (reinforced and unreinforced) thermoplastics into plastic parts. The raw materials used and the corresponding manufacturing technologies significantly impact the success, quality, and cost-effectiveness of components in today’s world.

Thanks to our state-of-the-art machinery, consisting of over 30 injection molding machines with clamping forces ranging from 350 to 2500KN, we can produce parts weighing from 0.02g to 600g. With a team of well-trained and motivated employees, Bauer operates in a 3-shift system - if necessary, 360 days a year. This makes our company a flexible partner capable of accommodating short-term deadlines.

Our diverse spectrum of machinery also allows for production on vertical machines, the demolding of internal threads and undercuts using core back technology, and the manufacturing of hybrid components.

  • PVDF: Polyvinylidene fluoride belongs to the class of thermoplastic fluoropolymers. Due to its good thermal and chemical resistance, PVDF is used, amongst other applications, as a lining for pipes or exterior components.

  • PSU: Polyarylsulfones are suitable for operating temperatures ranging from -100 to 200°C and possess favorable flame-resistant properties. They exhibit high strength, rigidity, and elongation at break, and are resistant to many chemicals.

  • PBT: Polybutylene terephthalate is characterized by very good dimensional stability and accuracy, very low creep tendency, and high abrasion resistance. Compared to semi-crystalline PET, PBT has slightly lower strength and, especially at low temperatures, better impact resistance.

  • PPS: Polyphenylene sulfide is distinguished by its very high chemical and thermal resistance as well as rigidity. In most injection molding applications, PPS compounds with reinforcing agents or mineral fillers are used.

  • PEEK: The characteristics of Polyether ether ketone combine very good mechanical properties with excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The melting temperature of Polyether ether ketone is 335°C. Even at high temperatures, PEEK has very good, long-lasting sliding properties and a high insulating capacity against electrical current. Furthermore, the plastic is resistant to X-rays and gamma radiation.

Polyvinylidenfluorid (PVDF)
